The Pan B Cell Isolation Kit was developed for the fast and efficient untouched isolation of total B cells from human PBMCs.

Detailed separation procedure

Non-B cells (T cells, NK cells, monocytes, dendritic cells, granulocytes, platelets, and erythroid cells) are labeled with a cocktail of biotinylated antibodies. These cells are subsequently magnetically labeled with Anti-Biotin MicroBeads for depletion. Highly pure B cells are obtained by depletion of magnetically labeled non-B cells.

Downstream applications

Untouched B cells obtained with the Pan B Cell Isolation Kit can be used for the isolation of specific B cell subsets, including naive and memory B cells.

Isolation of untouched Pan B cells including plasma cells from human PBMCs using the Pan B Cell Isolation Kit, an LS Column, and a MidiMACS™ Separator. Cells were fluorescently stained with CD19-APC (# 130-091-248) and CD43-PE (# 130-097-362). Cell debris and dead cells were excluded from the analysis based on scatter signals and propidium iodide fluorescence.
