Clone REAL466 is an antibody fragment derived from the full CD14 antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAlease Complex to bind markers with high avidity.
Clone REAL466 recognizes the mouse CD14 antigen, a cell surface glycoprotein preferentially expressed on monocytes/macrophages, but also on granulocytes, dendritic cells, Kupffer cells, and hepatocytes. In association with toll-like receptors TLR 4 and MD-2, CD14 is a highly specific co-receptor for bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and for a variety of other pathogen-associated molecular patterns of microbial sources. The association of CD14 with LPS is mediated by the LPS-binding protein (LBP).
The REAlease Kits consist of the respective fluorochrome-conjugated REAlease Complexes and the REAlease Support Kit for removal of the REAlease Complexes and optional relabeling with different fluorochrome-conjugated REAlease Complexes.
