applications. For regulatory status in the USA, please contact your local representative.
Background information
The CD28 antibody recognizes the human CD28 antigen which is expressed on T cells and plasma cells. The binding of CD28 to its ligands CD80 and CD86 transfers a costimulatory signal to the T cell.
Activation and proliferation of T cells can be induced by interaction of the T cell receptor (TCR) with peptide-MHC complexes expressed on the surface of antigen presenting cells (APC). T cell activation can also be achieved by agonistic stimulation with the CD3 antibody binding to the TCR complex and can be enhanced by costimulation with CD28 antibody.
Applications
The antibody is suitable for
ex vivo
T cell activation and expansion and can be used in combination with MACS GMP CD3 pure for optimal T cell stimulation towards clinical applications
